Project October 2018
Featuring: Ana Igna
We all want to have control over everything . We want to control our lives, others lives and our environment. We want to control the weather; the way other people think; we want to have control over love ; over nature, over everything.
And guess what? You can't control others lives, you cant control if tomorrow its gonna rain or not....you can control only the way you see the world and the way to respond to it. Then, if we can control everything it will be boring, because we will always know what is gonna happen. And that brings magic and diversity in our lives. That helps us to learn to adapt in different situations, that we cannot expect. The adaptability is a large part of the humans intelligence that can be learned and developed.
Be opened to see what your journey through life brings to you....
There was a total of approx 200 photos from witch we selected six that best represents what we want to transmit:
Dynamic evolution
The light captured in this photos multiplies itself through a number of similar patterns, changing its shape from one step to another that shows a slightly continuous evolution. The repetition of the light shapes and the similarity of the colors pallet transmits a dynamic feeling as if the light would transform itself as a response to a continuous changing environment. While shooting the photos i noticed that the patterns of the light shapes resembles the hart beats on a hart monitor. That viewed in a symbolic way connotes that the light presents adaptability and, then represents life.
Light shield
The tree stages of the person in this picture transmit that the person is not blocked in keeping control of himself and this leads to a staged development, and does not remains blocked in one point. The whole image shows a continuum composition in time - the horizontal light lines of different colors and intensities and the metamorphosis of the person.
The light is in front of the person acting as a shield, and the 3 stages are not significantly different.
This image presents two significant different stages emphasized by the direction of the body, position of the hands and his head. In the first stage , the position of his hands transmits a sens of protection and closeness .While " he decide to go in front of the light shield from the first image and thus he opened he's horizons.
TECHNICAL: We use a Nikon camera. We manage to create the dynamic effects by setting the camera on very low exposure. To capture different stages of the static images we had to move the camera, slightly, during the exposure.
