The masthead of the magazine is placed in the upper right corner of the cover and it is written with a gray cold collar "WISCONSIN BIKEFED" in order to don't attract the attention. From the title we can deduce the genre of the magazine and about what the content is-about bicycles. Above the title there is a symbol of the magazine series, and that is a designed "W", made out of bike parts.
The date of the publication is written just below the masthead and that is 20 june 2018, it is a very recent magazine.
We can notice that the main image gives us a dynamic sensation and it represents a middle aged woman riding a bicycle, this is the only part of the image that is clear, the background is blurry in order to transmit us the dinamic feeling. Also, the woman's coat is lifted, that connotes the woman is in movement.
The woman is framed between two rows of trees and two stop signs, acting as leading lines conducting riders attention on the woman. The colours are mainly cold and naturalistic, except the red collar, that connotes passion, and, here, appears on the two stop signs, and on the dot on the bicycle, in order to balance the composition, and draws all the attention to her. Also the shade of the bicycle ad symetry and balance in composition.
The cover of the magazine is a pretty simple and elegant one, that is shown out by the combination of the colours palette : red, grey and black.
The content is placed on the left side of the two spread page. The content have one main image, the same one's with the front cover's, but we can observe some differences.
We can recognise the magazines logo on the top of the image and the date of the publication. On the bottom of the photo it is noticeable that the photographer's name is written:" Peter Di Antoni" and the credits for the model: " Jessica Ginster".On the top of the page as a title, there is the word "CONTENTS".
The magazine is spread in seven articles, and their titles are written right right near the main image, on a tray background, witch represents the same road as the road from the main image. The page number it is written down, on the left side, and also the contact information.
The main image it is overplayed on the background and gives the impression that the image were ripped from a book or a magazine, in order to make it more attracting for the viewers and to break up the monotony.
The right side of the double spread page, presents an advertising . The actors of the magazine choose the right side for the advertising because it is more visible and atract easely peoples attention. The colours ore strong and the fact that are presented in contrast make them more visible and attract peoples views. The advertising is correlated with the magazine's motives and themes: bicycles, so if the audience buy the magazine it is clear that they are interested in riding bicycles or just bicycles, and the advertising will catch their interests.
Therefore, the headline of the article is written very big, bigger then the others text elements in the page, and with a red color; that in contrast with the other colours on the page it is easily remarkable.
The headline reach its purpose: is very visible, meaningfull and contains the necessary information to wake readers attention.
The article is spread in three main paragraphs and mainly, all three are a description of an event "WISCONSIN RAW"and, so an introduction in the magazine subject.
The first paragraph is an introductory one and gives to the ridders a starter in theirs journey into the magazine. The article is written on the left upper part of the double spread, with small letters, in order to attract the viewers attention on the headline, and to the background.
The image in the background is very relevant and correlated with the article in order to give to the ridder a visual idea of how the event described in the article looks like.
The colours are cold and natural in comparison with the collar of the title. The green colour implement the feeling of nature and adventure, and, together with the brown colour create a palette after use to convey friendly concepts, and of these colours create a natural surrounding.
The composition is very balanced; in the right side the grass is bigger and in the left side the cyclists and the headline gives a equilibrium to the image. The lines on the earth and the grass conduct readers view and gives the impression of an organised and symetrical composition, and people's mind is attracted to such a component. Of course, the page number is not missing, down, in the left corner of the page.
