I had a lot of challenges through the process of creating my preliminary work. The filming process was great as it was a lot of fun, but as it was my first time filming a longer video with the camera, the footage that I filmed turned out to be hard to edit and putt all together in one piece as I used some difficult angles, lights, and movements. First, not a very easy thing to work with, especially for the first time is that I choose to film during the night, so, the light and the clearness wasn't very qualitative. Also, the biggest lesson I took from this preliminary, which many will thing was an obvious fact, but not for me at that time, that when filming, never film with the camera vertically, unless you want to rotate the camera or create a specific effect. I did that during filming because I thought it would give a sense of dynamicity to the video, but it turned just very hard to edit and to give a flow to the video. A very courageous decision I made when I planned the narrative for the video as an almost continuous dance, especially as there was no fixed choreography and the model was dancing freestyle, make it more difficult for me to adapt the camera movements on the model's moves.
Initially, for editing, I decided to edit in Movavi, an application that I installed as a free trial, but unfortunately, after finishing editing the free trial expired and I couldn't cess the video anymore which was very frustrating, but I learned a major valuable lesson from that: always after creating something digitally, save it, share it with somebody or record it. So I had to start again to edit, this time, also a not very bright choice, I decided to edit with Filmora, by using the free version, and I didn't pay attention if I can save the video without the watermarks of the app, so, after finishing editing the video, when I saved it and watched it, I had the surprise of the huge watermark:
I installed another application for screen recording, in order to try to record the video without the watermark, called NCH, but it was not at the same quality and it recorded with a black square on the video ( also the app didn't allow to take a screenshot while open, so I took a photo to the screen with my phone):
Below are some screenshots from the process of editing:
This is all the footage that I filmed for the preliminary work:
